Fleet Response is proud to announce Stuart Braun as the 2021 Ron and Fran Mawaka Employee of the Year. This year’s finalists included Jazmyne Harris (Call Center), Ben Lasker (Subrogation), Samantha McHenry (Claims), James Ruffing (Business Development) and Jenae Whitmore (Information Technology).

The Employee of the Year award has been an on-going tradition at Fleet Response since 2015. The award was created by Ron and Fran Mawaka to recognize and reward Fleet Response employees who show exemplary individual achievement, contribution, and performance in their roles. Employees are nominated by their peers, and finalists are chosen by the Fleet Response Executive team. Each of the five finalists were presented with a $1,000 check and the award winner received a $5,000 check.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, last year’s winners were surprised at their homes by members of the Fleet Response Executive team. Fortunately, we were able to host an in-person celebration this year. Following the ceremony, employees enjoyed lunch from one of two food trucks. Dessert treats were provided by Accounting Specialist, Felicia Ivery and her small business, Diva Delights.

“There’s not many people in this company who have made the amount of impact that this gentleman has made,” said President and CEO of Fleet Response, Scott Mawaka, before announcing Stuart Braun as the winner of the award. “Stuart is a great part of this family and has been for a long time. I love seeing him engage with his team, which is arguably the most successful in our business by statistical performance.”

Stuart has been with Fleet Response for over 14 years and currently works as the Adjuster and Maintenance Manager. “Having senior leadership recognize your efforts and dedication to the company growth over all these years is truly humbling,” said Braun. “I cannot say enough about my team members, as they are a huge part of our success, and having a leader in Roger Cervenka, who is always pushing you to be your very best. Working for the Mawaka family and Fleet Response has been a true blessing and I’m proud to say that I’m part of such a great organization.”
