03 Jan FLEET RESPONSE PARTICIPATES IN HOLIDAY ADOPT-A-FAMILY PROGRAM
Cleveland, Ohio, December 21, 2017 —Fleet Response celebrated the 2017 holiday season by “adopting” a family in need. Joining forces with the Zacchaeus Housing Solutions Program, a Cleveland based non-profit organization that assists homeless families in securing and maintaining housing while working towards self-sufficiency.
Fleet Response employees had the opportunity to take part in the program by making a monetary donation or selecting a gift tag ornament from their office Christmas tree, which provided various items to be purchased for the sponsored family of four. Ornaments included winter clothing, household goods, books, toys for the children, basic necessities, and a variety of other personal items. Employee contributions went above and beyond, with all ornament gifts being purchased and over $1,000 in monetary donations received. The money donated was used to purchase gift cards and monthly bus passes for the entire family, as well as tools the father needed to return to his trade job after a medical leave.
In the Fleet Response offices, a day-long gift wrapping event allowed the festivities to continue. Employees were given supplies and time during their workday to wrap the presents that were set to be delivered on December 20th, just a few days before the Christmas holiday.
“This was Fleet Response’s first year participating in the Holiday Adopt-A-Family Program. We were thrilled for the opportunity to help a local family have a very special holiday and create a positive impact in our community,” says Fleet Response Executive Vice President, Allison Lanzilotta. “I’m extremely proud of our employees for the outpour of generosity they’ve shown to this deserving family. It’s truly a wonderful cause and a heartfelt way to give back.”
