22 Aug The Fleet Response Intern Experience
At Fleet Response, the internship program is more than just a simple job, but a journey of growth, learning, and discovery. Each intern brings a unique perspective and set of skills, and through their time with us, they not only contribute to our company but also gain invaluable experiences that shape their futures. Hereās a look at what our interns had to say about their time at Fleet Response.
Coming into their internships, many of our interns had a clear set of goals. For some it was to learn more about the industry; for others, it was to gain an understanding of what working in an office is really like. As they reflect on their experiences, one thing is clear: the hands-on tasks and projects at Fleet Response have significantly broadened their skill sets.
āFleet Response helped in my professional development by giving me the opportunity to work in an office environment and work within a team on a weekly basis,ā shares intern, Justin Allsopp.
āBeing in an in-person office environment for the first time, I learned so much about professionalism and business etiquette. This process overall helped me develop my professional network and emphasized the importance of making connections,ā shares intern, Avery Tracz.
The work culture at Fleet Response is often described as supportive and collaborative, and this really resonated with our interns. They spoke highly of the inclusive environment where every team member is valued and heard.
āI enjoyed most working with the team in 1st party claims. They were always energetic, kind, hardworking, and willing to help others succeed. The employees there made this summer program exciting and welcoming for interns,ā shares intern, Cole Jones.
āIt was an enjoyable experience to work in the subrogation department. Everyone was friendly and always willing to help each other out. Having these available resources around me was reassuring,ā shares intern, Keshav Mody.
The sense of achievement our interns felt was incredible. Whether it was completing a significant project, contributing to a teamās success, or mastering a new skill, each intern had moments that filled them with pride.
āA highlight from my internship was successfully completing a major project, it was extremely rewarding seeing a long-term effort fulfilled.ā
As they look to their future, our interns really do believe that their time at Fleet Response will have a lasting impact on their careers. The skills they have gained, the relationships they have built, and the lessons they have learned are all tools that they will carry forward.
āWorking in the accounting department has been an incredible experience. Each and every one of my team members are caring, supportive, driven, and all-around incredible people. If I had a question about any of my daily tasks, there was always someone willing to help. Iām incredibly thankful to have been in this department and hope to keep in touch with everyone in it!ā shares intern, Cade Tonozzi.
While looking back on their experiences, the interns wanted to share some advice for future interns and give them some insight.
āSome advice Iād give to future interns would be to really connect with the other interns. Having some sort of relationship with your peers will make it a whole lot easier to come to work every day. Secondly, have fun with the projects! Be creative with your ideas and continue to throw stuff at the wall to see what sticks. Next, do everything thatās expected of you and thereās nothing wrong with going above and beyond. Finally, introduce yourself to as many people as you can. You never know who you may need for a reference down the road!ā shares Cade Tonozzi.
āMy advice to the future interns would be to utilize all the resources and opportunities that Fleet Response can provide during your internship to help develop your professional skills. Also, do not be afraid to ask questions because everyone I have encountered has been friendly and will want to help you,ā shares intern, Audrey Livesay.
āI would encourage future interns at Fleet Response to take advantage of the opportunities you have to learn about other areas of the business. Each week we had a presentation from people who worked in different areas of the business and I felt like these meetings were a great opportunity gain an understanding of the big picture in the organization. Trying to understand the other areas of the business helped me perform better in my department,ā shares intern, Sarah Gessler.
As we reflect on the experiences of our interns, it is clear that Fleet Responseās internship program is not just about providing work experience, but about fostering growth and building a foundation for future success. We are so proud of the accomplishments of our interns and are excited to see where their journeys will take them next.
