12 Sep Fleet Response Holds Employee Art Exhibition
Art is a form of expressing oneās feelings, emotions, and culture. At Fleet Response, we place a strong emphasis on culture, diversity, and self-expression. And what better way to encourage employees to express themselves and their culture than by sharing art?
The idea of an art exhibition came from the 2023 Diversity and Inclusion Committee. On Tuesday, August 29th, all employees were invited to bring in art pieces to be displayed for their colleagues and peers. A variety of art forms were brought in, including paintings, drawings, sculptures, 3D prints, crochet, paper mĆ¢chĆ©, oil pastel, and photographs. Employees browsed the exhibition, read about each piece, and chatted with their colleagues.
A catered lunch was provided for all employees in both our Hudson OH, and Chatsworth, CA offices. Remote employees were able to send in artwork to be displayed, and a walk-through video was made for all employees to view the art.
The event was a huge success, with over 40 different employees bringing in a total of over 100 art pieces.
In support of art in our local communities, Fleet Response made donations to non-profit organizations, Arts Impact, and The Art of Elysium. Arts Impact is based in Cleveland Ohio, with the mission of teaching students and families about science, algebra, social studies, and everything ā all through the lens of art. Since their founding in 2002, their art integration and art enrichment programs have inspired more than 35,000 students. The Art of Elysium is based in Los Angeles, California with the mission of pairing volunteer artists with communities in LA to support individuals in the midst of difficult emotional life challenge like illness, hospitalization, displacement, confinement and/or crisis.
āThe art exhibition was not only a creative and cultural celebration, but also a powerful tool for bringing our teams closer together,ā said Subrogation Manager and Diversity and Inclusion Committee Chair, Jorge Rincon. āIt emphasized the value of diversity, recognition of talent, teamwork, engagement, and personal growth, all of which I believe contribute to a more vibrant and cohesive workplace.Ā Culturally, it displayed various backgrounds and origins which showed their unique heritage through their artwork. This not only allowed for a better understanding of each otherās backgrounds, but also fostered an atmosphere of inclusivity and appreciation for diversity.
