08 Nov Mawaka and Lanzilotta Named Northeast Ohio Smart 50 Award Honorees
Fleet Response CEO Scott Mawaka and President Allison Lanzilotta were recently recognized by Corporate College as 2022 Smart 50 Award Honorees.
Since 2014, The Corporate College Smart 50 Awards, presented by Smart Business, has recognized the top executives of the 50 smartest companies in Northeast Ohio for their ability to effectively build and lead successful organizations.
All 50 honorees are recognized in the Smart 50 Awards ceremony at the Union Club in Cleveland on November 9th. Specialty award winners are recognized for three categories: Innovation, Impact and Sustainability.
“It is an honor to be named among Northeast Ohio’s smartest companies for the second time,” said CEO Scott Mawaka. “We work hard to build a team that is deeply connected to providing innovative solutions and best-in-class service.”
The combination of innovation and exceptional customer service has led to continued growth and longevity, while fostering a sense of community. In 2017, Mawaka purchased Fleet Response from the majority shareholders, ensuring the company would remain a privately held family business. Fleet Response has grown from $58 million in revenue with 72 employees in 2011, to currently more than $200 million in revenue with over 300 employees.
With that kind of growth, you typically see change towards a more business focus and less on employee engagement, but Mawaka, Lanzilotta and the Fleet Response executive team works hard to maintain a family company feel and a positive atmosphere.
Mawaka was also recognized as a Smart 50 Honoree in 2020, alongside fellow business leaders who have made a difference in their organization and the region.
