04 Aug Fleet Response Donates Over $8,000 of School Supplies
Fleet Response is committed to giving back to the community where we live and work through long-lasting partnerships, community-based delivery and employee engagement. To continue this commitment, Fleet Response participated in the 16th annual FOX 8 News Stuff the Bus Event.
Stuff the Bus is a school supplies drive held by FOX 8 that has been supporting local communities for over a decade. On July 22nd, school buses lined up outside of FOX 8 Studios in Cleveland, ready to be filled with school supplies.
Over 10 school buses were packed full of notebooks, crayons, pencils, and other school supplies to be donated to the Cleveland Kids in Need Resource Center and distributed throughout 250 schools in the Cleveland area.
The initiative to participate in the Stuff the Bus event came from the third term of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee. The committee aims to build an inclusive culture that encourages, supports, and celebrates the diverse voices of our employees.
With the help of our employees, Fleet Response collectively ‘stuffed the bus’ with nearly $5,000 worth of school supplies.
Additionally, our California office held a school supplies drive to benefit Friends of the Children ā LosĀ Angeles, an organization that aims to connect children who have been impacted by the child welfare system with a professional mentor.
Our California-based employees donated over $3,000 in school supplies, totaling $8,000 worth of school supplies donated.
āIt is always an honor for us to give back to our communities,ā said Thomas Morrison, Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee. āFleet Response prides itself in supporting our youth in the areas where many of us work and live. The Diversity and Inclusion committee would like to personally thank each and every colleague for their generous donations. We look forward to our next charitable event.ā
