Fleet Response Employees Pay It Forward with Comeback Kit Donation Drive

Fleet Response is continually committed to giving back to the community where we live and work through long-lasting partnerships, community-based delivery and engaging our best assetā€”Fleet Response employees.

This year, we partnered with The City Mission to help make an impact during this holiday season. Throughout the month of November, the Fleet Response Diversity and Inclusion Committee encouraged their fellow employees to help provide to others through their ā€œComeback Kit Donation Driveā€ to help those who have experienced a slight setback in life.

Personal care items in new condition — such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, combs, lotions, and razors — were collected during this employee-led donation drive. These items were then packaged into Comeback Kits and distributed through The City Mission helping those who are going through unique stages of restoration. In addition, gift cards and monetary contributions were also collected.

ā€œFleet Response employees responded very enthusiastically,ā€ said Noel Donato, Diversity and Inclusion Committee Member. ā€œWe had donation tables placed throughout our headquarters, and employees just kept filling them with donations. Weā€™re so appreciative of everyoneā€™s support and generosity.ā€

The City Mission empowers men, women, and children in crisis to overcome their unique, complex paths to homelessness. They started their mission in 1910, and for the past 111 years, generations of men, women, and children have received assistance, encouragement, and loving support through programs that meet both basic needs and provided the tools to build hope, overcome obstacles, and achieve self-sufficiency.

Employee contributions went above and beyond with over 90 employees participating donating resulting in over 400 items and $485 in monetary contributions.

ā€œWe understand this year has been particularly challenging for individuals,ā€ said Allison Lanzilotta, Executive Vice President. ā€œWe hope our employeesā€™ generous donations will make a difference in the lives of people as they get back on their feet this Christmas.ā€
