15 Dec Giving Back in 2020
Fleet Response is committed to giving back to the community where we live and work through long-lasting partnerships, community-based delivery and engaging our best asset—Fleet Response employees.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we were not able to carry on with our normal means of volunteering. We had to get creative and look for a new way to give back to a well-deserving organization. We joined forces with Family Promise of Greater Cleveland, a Northeast Ohio non-profit organization provides families facing the crisis of homelessness with a safe place designed to engage, inspire, and guide them toward a future where they feel empowered to control the course of their lives.
Fleet Response employees had the opportunity to take part in the program by purchasing toys, clothing, necessities, variety of personal items, or household goods from an Amazon Gift List, which were then sent directly to the Family Promise. Employee contributions went above and beyond, with most all items being purchased.
“We were once again so honored with the opportunity to help a local organization to be able to provide a special holiday to those families who they are helping, especially during these difficult times,” says Fleet Response Executive Vice President, Allison Lanzilotta.
While this was our first time working with Family Promise of Greater Cleveland, this was the second year we participated in a “adopt-a-family” type program. In 2018 our employees, pulled wish list items on ornaments from the office tree to purchase or could give monetary donations to go to the Zacchaeus Housing Solutions Program, another Cleveland based non-profit organization.
