Fleet Response Donates $5,000 to Urban League of Greater Cleveland

Fleet Response is committed to giving back to the community where we live and work through long-lasting partnerships, community-based delivery and through employee engagement. To continue with this commitment Fleet Response announced they made a $5,000 donation to the Urban League of Greater Cleveland (ULGC) to support youth and educational aspects of their organization.

ULGC is a community-based nonprofit organization, dedicated to providing equal opportunities for African-Americans and other minority members to develop and exercise their potential on par with all other Americans through education, research, advocacy and provision of services. Through partnerships with government, corporate, and community organizations ULGCā€™s ability to effectively respond to the needs of those on the economic and social margins has made the ULGC a safe place for the Greater Cleveland community to come.

The initial idea of donating to a local nonprofit came from the first term of the Fleet Response Diversity and Inclusion Committee. The Diversity & Inclusion Committee is committed to build an inclusive culture that encourages, supports, and celebrates the diverse voices of our employees.

The Committee came up with this initiative to give back to the community by donating to a charity that aligned with the values of Fleet Response and our commitment to diversity and inclusion. They researched local charities and provided them to the Executive Team to review and make their final decision to present the donation to.

Supporting our own communities and children has been a long-standing charitable mission for Fleet Response. CEO and President Scott Mawaka said, ā€œCommunity involvement and charitable giving through the support of our employees are a tenet of Fleet Response, and essential to bringing us and the communities we live and work in togetherā€.
