Fleet Response Employees Participate in the WWCTY Virtual 5K and 1-Mile Walk

Throughout June and July, Fleet Response employees participated in the Where Will Color Take You? Virtual 5k and 1 Mile Walk. In partnership with the Sherwin-Williams Women’s Club and Youth Challenge, Fleet Response was a proud race sponsor of this virtual race to benefit Youth Challenge who provides adaptive sports and recreational opportunities for children with physical disabilities in the Greater Cleveland Area.

Participants had from June 20 through July 4, to run, walk or roll in the 5K or 1-Mile event on their own time and own course. There were also suggested course routes, in which Fleet Response’s route was near our headquarters in Independence. The route took you through Cuyahoga Valley National Park on the Towpath Trail.

Nearly 3 quarters  of Fleet Response employees along with their families participated in this virtual event.

“It is always heartwarming to see the number of our employees who turn out for these events and share in the spirit of giving back to the community we live and work in,” said Scott Mawaka, CEO and President of Fleet Response.

The Where Will Color Take You? Virtual 5K and 1 Mile Walk had a total of 797 participants and raised nearly $70,000 to benefit Youth Challenge.

We asked our employees to send us photos of their walk or run, and you can see them in this short video.
