COVID-19 is a disease caused by a new coronavirus not previously seen in humans. Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that may cause illness in humans or animals. In humans, coronaviruses cause respiratory infections ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases.

The disease causes respiratory illness (like the flu) with symptoms such as a cough, fever, and in more severe cases, difficulty breathing. Most individuals will have mild illness. You can protect yourself by washing your hands frequently, avoiding touching your face, and avoiding close contact (1 meter or 3 feet) with people who are unwell.

To help stop the coronavirus, public health officials are recommending to DO the FIVE:
1. Hands: Wash them often
2. Elbow: Cough into it
3. Face: Don’t touch it
4. Space: Keep safe distance
5. Home: Stay if you can
