15 Feb Fleet Response Purchased by Founder’s Son
Fleet Response is proud to announce that the company has been purchased by President & CEO, Scott Mawaka – ensuring the company founded in 1986, remains a privately-held family-run business.
This change of control means that Scott Mawaka becomes the sole shareholder of Fleet Response having acquired shares from minority shareholders Myron Zadony, Claude Nolty, Ron Mawaka Jr. & majority shareholder, Founder & Scott’s father, Ron Mawaka Sr.
“It’s an honor to carry on the strong foundation that my father built with Myron, Claude, Bob Morgan, and Stan Siegal” said Scott. “As our business continues to grow, I am committed to operating on our founding principle of quality and innovation with a culture that focuses on client satisfaction and employee development.”
Scott joined Fleet Response in 1989 as a Sales Executive and currently serves as Chairman, CEO, and President. Under Scott’s leadership, Fleet Response has continued to execute strategic operational initiatives including additional insurance and risk services.
Fleet Response recently celebrated its 30th anniversary with 120+ employees and only has upward growth in its future. “This is a great milestone for Fleet Response and I could not be happier for Scott and Fleet Response,” said Ron Mawaka Sr. “I personally want to thank all of our partners over the past 30 years for helping us get to this day”.

I am proud to announce that my son, Scott Mawaka is now the owner of Fleet Response
This should not come as a surprise to many, as this change has been gradually transitioning since Scott joined the company. Scott has worked very hard and his energy and great leadership has helped build the team we have in place today.
His vision and energy has taken our company to the next level, driving growth that I never could have imagined when we set out years ago. When I look at the number of families and livelihoods that our company supports, I’m honored and humbled.
Scott makes important changes that are needed, but never forgets the importance in maintaining our core values. He works hard to maintain the culture for employees that Myron Zadony and I created – that hard work, loyalty and pride cannot be measured or taken for granted.
Please don’t look for any immediate management changes as Scott has been the driving force for quite some time now.
This is a great milestone for Fleet Response and I could not be happier for Scott and Fleet Response. I personally want to thank all my friends and colleagues in the fleet industry for helping us get to this day and being part of this journey. We look forward to your continued partnership.
