23 Oct FLEET RESPONSE PARTICIPATES IN CLEVELAND WALK TO DEFEAT ALS
Cleveland, Ohio, October 15, 2015 —Fleet Response participated in individual fundraising events leading up to participation in the Cleveland Walk to Defeat ALS, raising money and awareness for ALS in a fight for a cure.
Weeks prior to the Cleveland Walk to Defeat ALS, Fleet Response employees participated in various fun filled fundraising events including a Mustache Mania, Dunk Tank, Bake Sale, and Ice Cream Social. On Sunday, September 27th, around 100 Fleet Response employees, family members and friends gathered to participate in the Cleveland Walk to Defeat ALS at Baldwin Wallace University. Pre-walk activities included a tailgate breakfast from two local Cleveland food trucks, Off the Griddle and Smoothie Face. Team Fleet Response raised over $5,000 for ALS through the individual fundraising events and walk donations.
This is a cause that hits very close to home for the Cleveland-based Fleet Management Company. Former employee of Fleet Response, Megan Coyle Rivera, lost her battle with ALS on April 18th, 2014, less than 2 years from her diagnosis.
“Participating in the Cleveland Walk to Defeat ALS is something that Fleet Response was honored to do,” says Fleet Response Executive Vice President, Allison Lanzilotta. “The various pre-event activities we held this year were a really fun way to raise awareness and kick off our fundraising efforts leading up to the September ALS walk, and we were blown away with the participation and money raised,” said Lanzilotta.
